The PlayStation Portable has been entertaining loads of mobile gamers and multimedia enthusiasts on the go. This handheld all-in-one entertainment console is dominating the portable media and gaming market for several years and is considered as one of the best products by Sony Electronics. And while Sony is normally against any third party PSP applications, the console is now getting a little third party encouragement.

Mojocafe has now added support for PlayStation Portable and is offering downloadable widgets. You can go to Mojocafe’s web site and register for an account. For that purpose you have to give your e-mail id and in return you will receive a six digit PIN. Log in using that and you can then access the large widget library. You can select up to four widgets at a time and set their transition. After that just go to the mojocafe.net on your PSP, log in there (using e-mail and PIN) and finally click on the Start Mojos button.

If you are an original PSP 1000 user then you have to go through some tweaking with regards to the handheld’s memory settings. The users of PSP Slim n Lite and PSP 3000 can enjoy the service without any hassles. The widgets include clocks, calendars, Yahoo! Weatherstation, newsfeeds, webcam feeds such as New York, Chile, San Francisco and Flickr photo feed. The widgets make the PSP more and more like a phone, such as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, with its online capabilities and features; although obviously you cannot make calls with your PSP, except via VoIP. So you always have a broad array of useful selections from Mojocafe and these Widgets are a great way to customise your PSP.
