The PlayStation portable can also be used as a document management tool, apart from gaming. This digital handheld entertainer is a great saviour when it comes to storing files containing critical data. Just grab a PDF to PSP application and you can then download any PDF file on your PSP and convert it into images for storage and sharing purposes. Imagine carrying a whole e-book along with you, without needing any portable document management device just to read it. PDF to PSP offers great utility while on the move. The converted images can be shared and transferred to any other compatible device including mobile phones.
Below is the process of converting the PDF files into images and storing them on PSP:
• Start PDF to PSP.
• When the application gets launched load the desired PDF file. Just go to ‘Open’ in the menu bar and select the PDF file you wish to convert or use the shortcut icon on the toolbar.
• Once the PDF gets loaded specify the output folder where all the converted files have to be stored.
• Then come the most interesting part, tuning the image settings. You can select from number of options to set the final display as desired. These options include fit to screen, fit to width, 2x screen width, original size, high resolution, portrait, landscape and image quality.
• PDF to PSP remembers the last directory used for storing the converted images along with the image settings used. So if you don’t configure them the application will continue to use the previous one.
• After setting the image quality and orientation just click on the ‘Convert’ button and you are done.
The images converted are taken as digital images by PSP and can be found in the photo menu. Just copy them to the memory stick and it’s ready for use. The PSP proves its superiority, as accomplishing the same task with the Nintendo DS Lite, would prove much more difficult.
